The bright lights at the AKS convention center are a tease. AKS convention is a popular hall in Frazer Town that plays host to wedding receptions, conventions and meetings. It is mostly in demand and they charge 1 lakh (€ 1,800) to 1.3 lakhs (€ 2,400) for using the facility for a day. It can seat 700 people.

Weddings are a big deal in India. People spend their lives earnings and their fortunes on just the few days of the wedding. The Indian wedding market is estimated to be a whopping 5000 Crores (€ 916 million). Halls like AKS thrive on this mania.

Green Bangalore - Traffic signals dont get greener than this!!!

Where else in the country can one find such green cover in the downtown area at traffic signal. It got to be only Bangalore (Bengaluru).

Magical skies at dusk over Hebbal

What a sight! It doesnt get better than this. And this is the best my camera phone could do to capture the magical skies at dusk over Hebbal (in Bangalore). The dark clouds waiting for the moment on the right over the high rises. A downpour breaking through on the left with sun light creeping through all this drama.... What a sight!

Bangalore they way we like it - green

What a wonderful sight! Green as green can be... I love driving by this service lane between Hennur road and Hebbal flyover. As green as it can be... Trees prividing great shade from the blazing sun... If only Bangalore could stay this way....
